The activity of the notarial profession and the functioning of notaries’ offices are mainly governed by the following texts: Order No 45-2590 of 2 November 1945 relating to the status of the notary, Decree No 45-0117 of 19 December 1945 taken for the application of the status of the notary, Decree No 71-941 of 26 November 1971 relating to acts drawn up by notaries, Decree No 71-942 of 26 November 1971 relating to the creations, transfers and abolishment of notaries’ offices, to the competence of instrumentation and the residence of notaries, to the custody and transmission of the minutes and professional registers of notaries, Decree No 73-1202 of 28 December 1973 relating to the discipline and status of public notary offices, Decree No 78-262 of 8 March 1978 fixing the tariffs of notaries, Decree of 26 February 2016 fixing the regulated tariffs of notaries, Decree No 2016-230 of 26 February 2016 relating to the tariffs of certain legal professionals and to the interprofessional fund for access to law and justice, Order of 27 February 2018 fixing the regulated tariffs of notaries.
